Overview of PPSC 2025 Recruitment:

The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC), established under Article 315 of the Constitution of India, is responsible for recruiting officials for various government departments based on requisitions received from the Government of Punjab. The Punjab State Civil Services Combined Competitive Examination-2025 (PSCSCCE-2025) is being conducted by PPSC to recruit officers for key administrative positions, including Punjab Civil Service (Executive Branch), Deputy Superintendent of Police, Tehsildar, Excise & Taxation Officer (ETO), Food and Civil Supply Officer, Block Development & Panchayat Officer, Assistant Registrar Co-Operative Societies, Labour-cum-Conciliation Officer, Employment Generation, Skill Development & Training Officer, and Deputy Superintendent of Jails (Grade-II) / District Probation Officer. Following the examination process, a list of successful candidates will be forwarded to the Government of Punjab for appointment. This notification is issued as per the requisitions received from the Department of Personnel, Government of Punjab, through letter No. 10/04/21-6PP3/647 dated 25/11/2024 and letter No. 10/04/21-6PP3/02 dated 02/01/2025.

PPSC Exam Schedule 2025 :

The Preliminary Combined Competitive Examination-2025 is tentatively scheduled for April 2025. The exact date of the examination will be announced later.

PSCSCCE-2025: Syllabus Overview

Preliminary Examination

1. General Studies (Paper I): History, Geography, Polity, Economy, Environment, Science & Tech, Current Affairs.
2. CSAT (Paper II): Comprehension, Reasoning, Problem Solving, Numeracy (Class X Level).

Main Examination

1. Compulsory Papers: Punjabi (Gurumukhi), English.
2. Essay: Two essays on current and significant topics.
3. General Studies:
   • Paper I: History, Geography, Society (Focus on Punjab).
   • Paper II: Constitution, Polity, Governance, International Relations.
   • Paper III: Economy, Statistics, Security Issues.
   • Paper IV: Science, Technology, Environment, Decision-Making.
4. Interview: Personality Test, Communication Skills, Leadership.

Focus: Punjab-specific history, culture, and geography.
